Laboratories
for Democracy

The Youth Civic Challenge is creating a network of informed, engaged, and creative youth who work together to create lasting, real-world impacts. We provide modern thinking tools, practical frameworks for taking action, and a platform for nationwide collaboration.

Help us empower tomorrow's leaders to discover their voices and actively engage in civic life.

DISCOVER YOUR VOICE. SHAPE YOUR WORLD.

Informed

An informed citizenry is at the heart of a dynamic democracy. We are developing a suite of 12 Lenses that encourage systemic thinking in terms of relationships and dynamic change, rather than as isolated entities subject transactions.

Action

We provide tools for local groups to select an issue of concern, and develop frameworks to direct action to working towards a solution.

Collective

The next big step is to aggregate these local efforts into a larger collective, so that they can exchange best practices, form connections, and build on the experience that comes from success, mistakes and lessons learned.

Goal

Our goal is to create a network of over

1000 youth teams engaged in civic actions that impact policy, practice or law by the 250th anniversary of the US on July 4, 2026. Select projects will be invited to a national conference to be held in Washington DC.

Become an Advocate

Our goals are ambitious and we can't do it alone. We are actively seeking partners and supporters who are passionate about creating a less toxic and more effective civic and political climate in our country.

Join us in helping the next generation of leaders and decision makers work together for the next 250 years of the American Experiment.
